Seven Ministries of Liberty County Inc. recently held a fundraiser under its Youth Mentoring Program to support the efforts of the South Georgia Kings 13 and Under AAU boys’ basketball team.
“Mentoring today’s youth is a major undertaking.  Coaches Shane Smith and Richard LeCounte teach these young men more than layups and jump shots; they’re learning life skills as well,” Seven Ministries President/CEO Gary Gilliard said. “We would like to thank the following for their support: Commissioner Donald Lovette, Felecia Holmes, Sheriff Steve Sikes, Edith Anderson Ministries, Malcolm X. Williams, Carolyn Carter, Bryant Gilliard, Christie Washington, Police Capt. James C. Reid, Mayor Clemontine Washington, Cheryl George, Larry Morgan, Frank Thomas, Jerimiah  Thomas, Pete Gilliard, Esaw Kelly, Platinum 40/40 Social Club and Seven Ministries. The travels of an AAU basketball team can be expensive, and my friends and I wanted to provide a little financial support.”
