The LeConte-Woodmanston Plantation and Botanical Gardens has a freshly harvested crop of Orient pears that will be available for purchase at the Hinesville Farmers Market this Thursday.
An Orient pear is similar to a LeConte pear, which is Liberty County’s native pear. The pears are predominantly used for preserves, jellies, cooking and pies.
The Hinesville Farmers Market is from 4-8 p.m. every Thursday through October on Commerce Street and the Bradwell Park area.
