The Liberty County Convention and Visitors Bureau is holding a photo competition until Oct. 31 for amateur photographers of all ages. Several prizes will be awarded.

The competition theme, “As you see it,” challenges photographers to capture Liberty County’s essence as it appeals to them. Entries may depict bodies of water, nature scenes, historic sites, architecture or other Liberty-related people, places and things.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three entries in each division. Entries will be categorized by age group: 5-11, 12-17 and 18 and older. A people’s choice award, determined by the number of “likes” each entry receives on Facebook, also will be presented. Age categories do not apply in the people’s choice contest.

Anyone interested in entering the competition can go to facebook.com/LibertyCVB for the complete rules and an entry form. The information also is available by emailing tourism@libertycounty.org or calling 368-3580.

Entries must be received by 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31. Online voting begins Friday, Nov.1.
