TYBEE ISLAND – The 10th Annual Tybee Island Pirate Fest is set for Oct. 9-12, bringing swashbuckling, family-friendly fun for Columbus Day weekend.

The fest will feature live music and activities at Tybee Island’s South Beach parking lot. Festivities kick off with the coronation of a king and queen at the Buccaneer’s Ball at The Crab Shack on Oct. 9. Additional highlights include the Pirate Victory Parade, Scallywags Costume Contest, Little Matey’s Cove, Thieves Market, the Bud Light Pirate Pub and kids’ activities such as a petting zoo and Ferris wheel.

Savannah-based country music singer, guitarist and bandleader Chuck Courtenay and his band will perform on Oct. 10, while Mother’s Finest, an American funk rock band, will headline the festival on Oct. 11. Additional acts will include Liquid Ginger.

The Tybee Island Pirate Fest began in 2005, attracting pirate enthusiasts from across the country.

Friday – $12 advance | $12 gate

Saturday – $15 advance | $15 gate

Sunday - Free

Weekend Pass – $22 advance | $24 gate

Children 12 and under - Free
