The third annual Red Neck Polar Bear Plunge will be from noon-3 p.m. Saturday behind the Hinesville VFW on Highway 196.
The plunge benefits the Animal Haven of Hope Society. Cups of chili will be sold for $1. Tickets to take the icy plunge will be $20.
Veterinarian Dr. David Beatie will offer rabies shots for $10, starting at 1 p.m. Weather permitting there will be pets available for adoption.
