QuiltFest set for next week in Savannah

QuiltFest Destination Savannah II will be held Thursday-Sunday, March 26-29, at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center.
More than 500 quilts and works of textile and wearable art are expected to be on display. Plus, the QuiltFest will feature a Merchants Mall and more than 25 regional and national special exhibits.
This year’s quilt competition, themed “The Belle of the Ball,” asks entrants to respond to, “Will your quilt be the Belle of the Ball?” Attendees can take part in judging by casting votes for the viewer’s choice award. The award winner will be announced on www.quilt
fest.com following the close of the festival.
Festival hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. March 26-28 and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. March 29. Admission is $14, and $10 on Sunday only. Attendees younger than 16 are admitted free.
