Residents of the Pines at Willowbrook participated in a self-defense class taught by Hinesville District 4 Councilman Keith Jenkins and attended by District 3 Councilman David Anderson during a recent neighborhood watch meeting.
“This class shows the different things neighborhood watch groups are doing and learning,” Hinesville Police Department Crime Prevention Officer John F. Williams said. “This is a response to resident’s desire to learn to protect themselves.”
Jenkins is a certified defense instructor for the state of Georgia and the Georgia State Police Academy, and he is the headmaster at the Jenkins’ Karate School in Hinesville.
