For the past seven years, Nancy and Lee Siperly having been decorating their home on Rye Patch Road and showcasing the Christmas spirit.
Every room in their two-story house has some kind of a theme. Whether you want to see a Victorian village or a toy land, it is there. Or maybe you want to see a room decorated with the theme of snow, or a pink doll room — they, too, are there.
No matter what you want to see, if it has to do with Christmas, you will probably find it somewhere at the Siperlys’ house.
The decorations come from items that are new, old, broken, recycled and handcrafted.
According to the Siperlys, they love Christmas, and love to decorate and display the different things they have collected through the years.
“We try to have a large variety of things on display to tickle the fancy of every person and make all feel welcome and comfortable,” Lee Siperly said.
The couple said people from all over the area come to see the house, and some people from as far away as Germany and Canada have signed their guest book.
Before moving to this area seven years ago, the couple lived in Sarasota, Fla., and had been decorating there for 11 years.
The couple says the most important reason they decorate their home is to point people to the hope, love and peace of Jesus Christ.
The Christmas House is opened for all to see on from 6:30-9 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday through December.
There is no charge, but donations are accepted and appreciated.
