Smith sisters write their second childrens book in 'The Struggle' books series
The Struggle book authors

Real Food Is Real Good LLC has published a children’s book entitled The Struggle: 4 Girls & 1 Bathroom written by Patrice, Donna, Shannon, Charity and Faith Smith.  This book is the sequel to the book entitled The Struggle:  Mom and the Summertime Blues.  It is about the lives of four sisters-Diamond, Shelia, Crystal, and Felicity. Previously, these sisters wrote about having to endure a long summer with their mom and her never-ending lists of chores and schoolwork.  Now they are back to discuss their upcoming school year.  But this time, no one is safe from their complaints!

Young readers will empathize with their youthful perspective.  Parents will enjoy reading about the feelings of the four girls in the story, nodding in agreement from the beginning to the end. The entire family will enjoy this book. The four sisters complain about everything but throughout the book, the girls tell of important life lessons taught by their parents.  These lessons are told in a comical way.  Young readers will not know they are learning since they will be laughing so hard in agreement with their peers.  Parents are not left out, they too will be laughing in agreement with the characters in the book as well.  For those youth groups who would like to use this book as an educational tool, discussion questions and word lists are provided at the end of the book.

The authors of the book are from Middle Georgia.  The authors consist of a mom and her four daughters.  The mom, Patrice Smith has previously co-authored a healthy living cookbook.  She received a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources and Family Studies from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana.  The four adolescent,  honor student authors are, Donna Smith age 16, Shannon Smith age 14, Charity Smith age 13, and Faith Smith age 11.  They are all very active, school-aged girls with a variety of interests which include reading, drawing, singing, art and more.  The inspiration for the first book came from their real-life mom’s summer writing assignment.  This book is inspired by their real life, but it is a work of fiction.  Be on the lookout for future works by these talented authors.

This children’s paperback book will be available at www.amazon.com in either paperback (ISBN:  978-1546328162) or Kindle format (B075J8M844) on November 12, 2017. The autographed paperback version can also be ordered at www.realfoodisrealgood.com/the-struggle-book.html.
