Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, not do we know what motivated the callers:

Just because a person dresses nice does not mean they live in a nice, big home. Don’t judge a book by its cover. You may be deceived.

It would be so nice to have a produce vendor come to Midway, maybe across from the Isle of Wight dumpster place, or someplace in Midway that we could get fresh vegetables and fruit from instead of going to Hinesville.

If lifelong Liberty County residents would stick together and go to the city meetings, these unnecessary buildings would not have the chance to be built. We all pay taxes and we should speak up. The big dogs are taking over.

Hinesville, why do we have two brand new buildings downtown looking like a Taj Mahal? We need jobs so people can work.

2013 is going to be a breakthrough for Liberty County. People in high places and positions are going to be caught up with.

Is the board of education really that broke? Give your people a raise. Stop the furlough days. Again, another palace with rooms vacant.
