Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

Yes, to help the bus situation, why not have the bus go out to the trade center where workers can ride it? Or have it go out to Savannah Tech where the students can ride it. That would increase the riders

All Long County Commissioners need to resign at this point in time.

This goes for the caller saying that the eighth-grader is better than the ninth-grader:  That eighth-grader is not any better than the ninth-grader. He cannot play any better than the ninth-grader can; he’s a friend of the coach’s traveling team.

The banquet they have for Eleven Black Men is supposed to help the black youth and black kids. To me, it didn’t help many of them, because some of your black leaders who belong to the Eleven Black Men, their kids were in that and they went astray.

Thanks to the caller for calling in about trash collectors on Bacon Road. They also leave trash in the trash can. We would like for them to clean our area better than they do.
