Here are some of hte issues that area residents are discussing.  The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

Oh, what a tangled web we weave when we practice to deceive. The Bible tells us what would happen if God would move his hand from this Earth for just one hour. He’ll let you know where you’ll spend eternity. It could happen quick.

God parted the Red Sea to let the poor and the needy go across and they had more than they ever had before. We need another parting of the Red Sea in some kind of way so God can work it out for the poor, need and hungry.

Maybe we have so many obese children because the schools do not allow recess or more activities. Years ago, kids did well in school because their brains were stimulated with exercise. When you have kids sitting there for eight hours, it encourages dull brains.

I want to know why the Coastal Courier always has rips in the paper. The newspaper is always torn in the middle.

Why is the city of Hinesville denying their workers raises? CH2M Hill OMI, leave town. You’re a scam. The same for the city. It’s a rip-off for your employees. Give yourselves a raise.

A disturbed young man destroyed a monument at Japonica Road at the totem pole. All of those people who took bricks from that monument need to return them. The community wants to rebuild that monument.
