Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the caller:

Government at all levels all across this country has forgotten its purpose — to serve the people, the citizens, the taxpayers, the hungry, homeless, unemployed and the voters. We need some help in the Ridgewood Subdivision. We have more than one roadside basketball hoop set up in the 800 block of Ridgewood Way. Live Oak trailer park needs more police protection from speeders and everything like that.

The Liberty County Transit bus needs to come down 196 to Airport Road because the people who are working down there and have no vehicles need to catch it and go into Hinesville.
