Sound off for Aug. 20

Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

Over on Inwood Drive, an occupant has 10, I repeat 10, vehicles in their yard, driveway and behind their house. Three of those vehicles have been wrecked and one has the whole front end off. And they’ve been sitting there more than a year. How would you like to see that every day? The city has been informed, nearly a year ago, but nothing has been done.

I read about Manna House. I wonder why they don’t pick up the leftover food from the school cafeteria every day before they throw it out. Does the board of education not allow it? What a waste of tax dollars.

I notice in Sound off, when you talk about the president it’s always printed when you call him a dictator or socialist. But when we talk about Republicans that try to stop everything he’s trying to do for this country, nothing’s printed. Let’s be fair.

To the person that picked up my cockapoo on Fleming Road, please bring it back. It belongs to my grandson.
