Here are some of the issues area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not know if they are true, nor what motivated the callers:

 

Parents of Colonels Island, when your children are dead or brain dead from driving their four-wheelers in excess of 50 miles per hour, are you going to wish then that you had made them wear helmets?

If the Liberty County Board of Education is really concerned about our children, why are they taking the furlough days while kids are in school and not letting teachers out on planning days?

While browsing on my TV through the channels Comcast provides to us for $75 a month, I noticed they’ve taken away three more channels and moved them to digital. I believe these three were part of the excuse for raising prices last time. Thanks, Comcast.

So now the Avon Company owns the American Legion? Do you have to buy something to participate in Legion functions? I’m lost.
