When it comes to high-school team sports, college team sports and professional team sports, everyone on the team does not play every game. The decision has been made based on the opponent that they’re playing against. I see where they tore down another Hinesville landmark. Gilly’s Club got torn down. It’s been there for 30 years, and I’m sure going to miss it and so will the city of Hinesville. I had so many good hours in there.

I agree with the caller this morning who called in about the black kids with their faces painted white. If they were white kids with faces painted black, certain elected officials would be calling for protests in downtown Hinesville.

The kids with the white face in the paper are not portraying white people. They are mimes. The offense comes when whites put on blackface and portray black people. That’s the offense. Study the history and you’ll understand why it’s offensive.
