I am very angry that TCE is teaching 5 year olds to make fun of “old people”. Today is the 100th day of school which is traditionally celebrated in kindergarten because counting to 100 is a kindergarten standard. I have seen it celebrated in many ways, but never by having student dress up as “old people”. It is wrong to teach children to make imitate in a humorous way of any segment of our population. The children were instructed to “not forget to wear glasses.” Many elementary students already won’t wear their glasses because they are embarrassed. What message does this send. Senior citizens are just people whose bodies are wearing out. What is next? Will the students be dressing like mentally and physically handicapped children for special olympics day
