Here are some of the issues area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

 

Doc Williams is special to the people who are close to LCHS just as Donell Woods is special to the people at Bradwell. If you know who he is you know why we are honoring him.

Doc Williams family gives four scholarships to students every year; two to Liberty County High School grads and two to Bradwell grads.
You talk about in the Bible, homosexuality going on near the end of time. Well, I tell you, in Sodom and Gomorrah in the Bible, homosexuality was going on near the beginning of time, too.

With all these neat little strip malls and housing developments popping up all over it almost seems like the military has priced the locals right out of town.
So an anti-abortion group wants the Long County commissioners to sign a resolution quoting Bible scriptures in support of a bill that outlaws abortion in our state. Two questions: Will there be a lot more foster parents and judges available? And when are churches going to be taxed when they don’t believe in separation of church and state.
