Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

To the person or persons who stopped the car, let the little white dog out, then drove away: Shame on you. How would you like if someone did that to you? Remember karma. What goes around comes around.

To Friday’s caller, I would like to know what you’re complaining about when you say ‘Stop complaining when you’re talking about your light bill.’ I looked back — my light bill is normally $160 at this time of the year. From June until now, my light bill has been running from $250 to well over $300.

The city of Hinesville always wants to follow suit with Savannah. I’d like to see them follow suit with the Comcast meetings; the customers here in Hinesville are just as fed up with the service here as the people in Savannah.

In response to a couple of the same old things about Ludowici and Long County politics: I would seriously reconsider my residency if I was so upset about where I lived and how crooked politics are. I would permanently get me a U-Haul truck, and I would never come back to this country again.

For those of you that don’t like the Ludowici politics: It’s just a short drive in either direction to get out of the county. I hear they’ve got great hot chocolate in England.
