Sound off for Feb. 24

Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

Since the post office is constantly worrying about down-sizing since they don’t have enough people purchasing stamps and postage, maybe they should think to put a restaurant in there to increase revenue, because the wait’s long enough that you can have a whole meal and dessert.

I just finished reading the Sound off. I agree with the people in Walthourville. Oh, and it’s OK to bash the president — what about those who want to be president? They get a bad taste, I guess, they got a bad case of the side that picks up the good things that he’s doing.

I’m Catholic, and I would much rather my tax dollars be used to support birth control than the amount of money that the babies born on welfare will cost. Is it cheaper to support birth control, or 18 years of a welfare baby?

Please publish if the AARP is going to do income tax for people this year in Hinesville.
