Manna House has a United Way brown-bag program for 60 or older low-income seniors, a FEMA emergency food program for any age person who meets the USDA income guidelines and a soup-kitchen for any age or income level. The truly needy are always welcome at Manna House.  

All gun owners should be owners of a well-regulated militia. That would be consistent with the Constitution.

Yes, you read the superintendent’s salary correctly. And people want to complain about the mayors’ and city councils’ salaries. As far as the bus transit, if the routes are re-planned to pick up personnel in low-income areas for those who cannot afford cars, and drop them at schools, I think you would see a pick-up of passengers.

The Obamas do not pay for their parties. They have money allowed to them from the taxpayers. Also, Mrs. Obama doesn’t sit in the garden and make it. Their gardeners probably take care of their vegetables. Also, the Obamas are very rich — Michelle’s father was a politician in Chicago, and Obama’s grandparents were very wealthy. They have no idea how to be a black poor person, so they have no idea what you are going through if you are poor.

I think there should be a law in Liberty County among the school board and the councils:  There should be an equal amount of all races so that we can have equality for all people. Sometimes we have people set in their minds that everybody’s picking on one race. I think if we had that, we could sit down and talk about things and be a model for the United States.

The saying is, “When the grass is cut, the snakes will show.” Not grow, show.

Walthourville City Council has majority black female leadership, while Hinesville City Council has majority black male leadership. Yet the Walthourville council has more backbone.
