Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so teh Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

I am grateful that Liberty County does mow on the side of the road and driveways. But I’d also like to know why they tend to tear up the driveways when mowing. They have no consideration for driveways, and I’m getting sick and tired of calling them to come out and fix mine.

Grandchildren are the way to grandparents’ pocketbooks. Did you know that? If you have grandchildren for your parents, then you can open up their purse and get whatever you want.

I just read the comments about Georgia Power in my paper today. I agree with those people, too. My heating bill was higher than it should have been. With the nice days, my heat wasn’t even on.

I agree about the smart meters from Georgia Power. I didn’t notice it when I got my bill, but I looked and you’re right; the bills did go up almost $20 more.

I love my new electric smart meter. I read my own power every day, I check electrical usage, I turn off my lights when not in use. I’ve got a relatively cheap electric bill, I am very happy with my new smart meter.
