Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

Hello, congressmen, instead of putting these deadbeat parents in jail why don’t you consider a program to help them with their child-support issues? That way the government could get a percentage of it and the deadbeat parents would have a percentage themselves.

This is for the Goodwill customer complaining about the music. I’m a customer too and love the music. By the way, how do you know what they play in the clubs?

Concerning the story on page 5A Sunday about racial profiling being unfounded: It’s amazing how much the Courier does to divide our county. When it was alleged back in the summer, it was front page news. Now that it’s found unfounded it’s stuck back on page 5A.
