Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not know vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:


To the person complaining about your thank you card, it’s only June 10. At least give your person you gave the gift to a month. Man, did your gift come from your heart?

 Wal-Mart, you wanted to check my ID to buy some primer to paint a car, yet my friend was right in front of me and she’s 16, not 18, and you didn’t check her ID to buy tobacco. Get real and quit hassling people.

I hope the Liberty County School Board pays attention to its own guidelines. I know of five families that live outside the Midway Middle and Liberty County High School that have their children going to school that they are not part of.
I’m a 20 percent disabled Vietnam veteran, 62 years old. This morning I washed a Toyota and waxed a big pickup truck. And I was not at home sitting on my fat fanny.

Lies and hatred are not part of God’s commandments. Take time to pray. It does bring results.
