Sound off for June 24

Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously so the Courier does not  vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

I’m tired of reading about Long County in Liberty County’s paper. We had chases in cow pastures on Sunday. The week before that was about starving animals — horses — and dead animals at Loonie Farms, and lots of burning fires. Now that they’ve caught the Loonie Farms woman, let’s get back to Liberty County news, which I look forward to reading.

I’d like to thank the Fort Stewart commissary for all the workers and the baggers being in each other’s business. You can’t have a peaceful working environment because somebody’s always got to stir stuff up. Y’all learn to do your jobs and get along and maybe everybody could be happy.

To all welfare recipients: You’re welcome. I pay my taxes. I should be able to claim you as a dependant at the end of the year.

I wonder how many people actually disguise their voices every time they call into Sound off and complain.
