Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers.

 

Gas, $2.53 Richmond Hill. Gas, $2.77 Hinesville. Gas, $2.57 Glennville. Sounds to me like somebody is getting ripped off and we need to let our senators know.

The gas stations in Hinesville’s excuse for keeping their prices up is a crock. They are raping the citizens of Hinesville. The price is Richmond Hill is $2.48-$2.52 where everywhere in Liberty County is over $2.70. An investigation needs to be launched.
 
The Jetsons cartoon predicted Skype, where you could use the telephone and see who you are talking to on just about any device. That pretty much covers it. They came real close in that cartoon.

Why did the American Legion change the name of its lounge?

If they’re doing a great job at the Long County Rec. Department, I’d hate to see what that caller thought was a terrible job.

The NAACP is planning a march to protest racial profiling. There is no profiling that I see.

I’m glad I live close to Richmond Hill. Gas is $2.53. Gas in Hinesville is $2.74. How come?

 A Liberty County deputy went whizzing by me on the road. It seemed like an important call. It was — two of his buddies were already at Huddle House. Above the law? Looks like it.

Liberty County needs to follow what Ludowici has done concerning posting the correct addresses.
