Here are some of the issues area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

Whoever on Fort Stewart made the decision to close gate 2 is out of their mind. Do you realize how bad traffic is going to back up in the morning? I realize it’s temporary, but how long is temporary?

Tell me why it took 30 minutes to get through the front gate. Dropped my kid off at 7:10 at Bradwell, from their through the front gate it took me 30 minutes. That’s ridiculous.
To the recent caller about the tea bags in the paper, do what?

The caller who commented on your word and the consequences needs to practice what is being preached.

Well, taxpayers, how did you enjoy the salaries of the city of Hinesville employees? I thought it was appropriate. That’s what we are paying the city for creating a junk yard and garbage dump. They don’t enforce the ordinances.

OK, there are no more unemployment extensions. There are no jobs available for those that are not well trained or have a PhD behind them. There is no federal aid for single women without children. There’s not help for people who are under the age of Medicare or Social Security. So where do we go from here?
