Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

I wish somebody could shed some light on why our Long County Sheriff’s Office had to respond to a domestic dispute on St. Simons Island. If anyone knows why that happened, please let me know.

I would like to know why FPCA is getting kids into the school that have not been there, but they can get them in there for basketball season to get another championship — when  they have not been in the school since the beginning of the year, did not pay tuition or anything like that. 

My husband just asked: Do we have the tornado sirens in Midway? Or do we have any sirens that would go off in Hinesville and Midway and Isle of Wight?

This goes to Mr. Jones’ office: I want to thank the African-American lady for helping me. The property line was really long, and I want to thank her for taking my property bill.

How can a JV team learn to play baseball and be a better team when they’re varsity when the varsity is playing the JV games? These kids need experience, and that’s why they join the baseball team. They want to play the game.
