Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated callers:

 

Please let Chemtall know I have a house, 2,200 square feet, on three-quarters of an acre. I’ll let them have it for $750,000, a real bargain. Tell them to give me a call.

The Republicans want a spending freeze as President Hoover did and people were living in tents and cardboard boxes.
I certainly agree with the comment on blighted neighborhoods. The city council, mayor and city managers should take a serious look at Hinesville because even the alleged best neighborhoods are becoming blighted.

If Hinesville is getting stimulus money for transportation they should be electric buses.

It looks like the Liberty County commissioners are following the path set by the old commissioners.

I realize the private school here in Hinesville is really expensive and was wondering if you could get a full scholarship if you are into sports.
