Sound off for March 3

Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

We understand if the police have to try to get someone if they are a robber, but how about slowing down if you’re not in chase.

To the person that called about enforcing ordinances: Liberty and Long counties, all they know how to do is raise properties taxes and do nothing about enforcing codes.

To the lady complaining about the cigarette smoke outside Walmart: I guess you don’t mind all the smoke created by Fort Stewart and all the burning they do that engulfs the city.

Now this is a joke. I called the taxi company from Ludowici at the Huddle House and they told me it would be $45 for wherever I wanted to go, even if it was just a couple miles down the road.

Am I the only person in Hinesville that has a problem with that black soldier being court martialed for a rap song? Are you trying to tell me there’s no black officer with backbone to defend this man? This poor, low-ranked man needs help from some black officer.
Bucky Keel, I didn’t know all that was going on with the board of education. He apparently has his facts together.

Regarding comments, if God didn’t want mixed races: Does anyone remember the story of the tower of Babel and why it was destroyed?

Thank God Hinesville has a professional, career fire service. They saved those people at the Bay Tree Apartments from certain death in that fire. Congratulations, Hinesville firefighters.
