Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

I wonder why we couldn’t get a Cheddar’s here in Hinesville. Not only do they serve good food, they serve a lot of food and they give good service.

Two love birds sending roses to each other is not a Sound off item, Coastal Courier. Let’s get real and get down to business and print Sound offs that really mean something to the city.

I took Coastal Courier’s offer and sent my neighbor the free subscription because I like Sound off. I also would like a half page of Sound off in the paper. I agree with today’s person; we need more of Sound off in your paper.

Whitney Houston was a beautiful woman, excellent actress with a God-given voice and talent. She was also a junkie. You can blame Brown or anybody else, but as I always told my children: “Life is about choices, good and bad, and with that comes consequences.”

To the person complaining that’s sitting in church for one hour in the cold: It’s time to have a sit-down talk with the pastor and explain your discomfort. I would.

If any house burglars happen to be reading Sound off, listen to this: There is not one item in my house worth your life. Get an education, get a job and get your own stuff, you conniving thieves.

Obama’s health care, the free birth control pills for everyone, does that include the lesbians, too?
