Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

Whose idea was it to start working on the practice field at Olvey Field with graduation for Bradwell two weeks away? It’s going to be a nightmare trying to find a place to park. Maybe Bradwell should have their graduation at Liberty County’s million-dollar football field.

If you didn’t see the bags beside mailboxes by some people, they donate all the time to people in the church and out of the church. Our churches are doing a great job weekly. We take canned goods on Wednesday nights. Don’t think we didn’t give, because we give every week.

I want to compliment Rep. Al Williams for his column in Sunday’s paper. Truer words could never be spoken. I’m glad you came out to really alert the public and to see what’s going on in Washington and around the world. It’s really a disgrace the way they treat this president.

Why is it that when something happens in the Liberty County School System, the cameras are never working? A bunch of parents need to get together and see what we can do about that.
