Here are some issues area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not know of they are true, nor do we know what motivated callers:

 

I thought the police thing was to serve and protect. We called over two hours ago and still nobody’s showed up. We could’ve been dead by now.

 Why did they waste our tax dollars to resurface Main Street when it didn’t need that much work? And there are a lot of other roads that do need work.

 I don’t know why the Liberty County School Board cannot find within the system a black male who can take over one
of these high schools, or a black female for that fact.

 Is it too much to ask to keep the ATVs and speeders off Dorsey Road? Why can’t the police write tickets there and tell ATVers to stay off private land, which they tear up while you’re at work even though there are no trespassing signs all over the place?

This is National Foster Care Month and we just want to thank all the foster and adopting parents in Liberty County for what they do for the children.
