Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

I would like to know when I will be able to put a boat in the water at Cattle Hammock. The county spent over $1 million for this property to put a boat landing there and I see nothing going on.

Tax cuts for the rich and furloughs for the poor. Disasters for everyone until the world will be no more. It’s time for equality, and God will close Wall Street down if you don’t realize what’s going on. Don’t forget to pray.

The city of Hinesville needs to elect some new officials on the city council. The ones they’ve got on the board now aren’t doing anything for the city.
