Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:


I’d love to know if the Liberty County Board of Education was reimbursed the $250,000 to renovate the field at Donell Woods Stadium. Apparently not since nothing has been published on it.

I just wonder what the Tea Party would do in India.

Ads selling beds, box springs and couches for less than $200 are the reason for the bedbug epidemic. They recycle old mattresses and this should be outlawed.

A few people keep calling for the mayor and police chief in Walthourville to resign. But they are doing a good job. If you want a fair town, keep them in place.

On Veterans Day, no one in our neighborhood or anyone else had their flags flying honoring our veterans. Why can’t military personnel be proud and fly flags on this special day? It’s kind of like a disgrace.

A tattoo picture contest, what a ridiculous thing to have in the paper. What you should do is increase the Sound off and quit putting things like that on there.

It’s bad enough we have all these young people out driving cars that really don’t know the rules of the road. Now they are teaching them how to fly airplanes. That’s the scariest thing I’ve heard.
