Here are some of the issues area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

 

Reference city officials being worried about the budget. The gatherings in China and off-site, like on Jekyll — that could be totally cut out. Fort Stewart has facilities like that, that they would be happy to loan you and it would be free.

I’m a retired non-commissioned officer from the Army. I encourage civilians and the military alike to read Joselynn McKenna’s Military Spouse column every week. She has her feet on the ground and knows what it is like to be a military spouse. It’s the best column you have.

Earth, wind and fire is how God deals with humanity and the Southern states that are so angry are going to be hit more by these angry winds, tornadoes and golf-ball sized hail. It’s time to love one another so God can love you back.

One thing about this election, it demonstrated to the whole world how democracy works. They can decide if they want this in their world and prevail over their country.

I’d like to know which restaurant accepts EBT cards so I can file a formal complaint. I work full-time to support myself and two kids. I’m not going to have my money to pay for someone else to go out to eat.

Auto manufacturers could save a lot of money if they did not put turn signals or fog lights on them. People don’t use turn signals and don’t know how to properly use fog lights anyway.
