Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing.  The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

 

Why do the mayor and city council continue to waste money when we already have a local publication in place?

I pray, in the name of Jesus, whoever is throwing trash on Peter King Road will stop. It really looks bad.

To our politicians and brain trust, I wish you would follow NASCAR. They came up with a very good idea next year, to reduce their winnings by 20 percent. And could you speed it up?

If Councilman Shaw can’t find his voice to vote for or against an issue before the city then he needs to resign because he’s doing nobody any good.

OK, folks, we all get mad at being charged interest on our credit cards or other bills. But did you realize that if you pay them 25-30 days early, they make double interest because they make interest on what you paid.

Way to go city council and mayor, hiring a Richmond Hill firm to do a magazine on Liberty County when we had one coming out soon, and many of us businesses are advertising in it. What were you thinking?
