Here are some of the issues area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

A recent front page of the paper, “Tax would fund new, existing transportation projects.” Don’t the people in Georgia know that the United States and the rest of the world is in recession? We don’t need any more taxes for any reason.

Junk cars at a home on Inwood Drive. They had a big party with kids. Everyone parked in the front yard and the kids played in the street. They should have all been in the back yard but there wasn’t room because of the junk cars.

City of Hinesville, your water, ever since it was hot, I don’t know if the person has been checking. Please look into that. Everyone should check their water bills for the past two months.
Thanks to the Hinesville Liberty Plaza for the quick response for the handicapped access that is now available for everyone to see this is where handicapped people can load and upload their patients.

Thank you very much to whoever it was who painted the handicapped spot in front of the doctor’s office in bright colors so everyone can see it.

I’m a retired E7 soldier and I agree with Rep. Kingston that if a person is old enough to have a military ID card, he’s old enough to drink.
