To the waitress complaining about not being tipped: I tip based on services received. If you don’t get one from me it’s because you didn’t provide a smiling face and good service.

I think it is unfortunate the students were out of classes on Sept. 8 so they could hear Obama’s speech. I hope they recorded it and will let the kids hear it later. There was good information in it.

The arts council would get a lot more vendors at the barbecue contest if they didn’t limit it to businesses and charge $75 a space. Let everyone participate.
