Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

Parents and pastors should be ashamed of themselves for not holding their children accountable for their actions in this bus incident. If a teenager’s knees were skinned up from having to be dragged off a bus, then that alone speaks volumes to the lack of parenting and values of this kid.

Real men grow beards. Unfortunately, society wants all their men to look like women. Don’t follow suit.

We’ve got an issue at Midway Elementary School. One of the lunchroom staff snatched away a 6-year-old’s lunch yesterday in front of a whole bunch of kids in the cafeteria and told her that she couldn’t have lunch because she was behind on what she owed. We need to be sure all of our children have food to eat, regardless of their status or how much money they have or don’t have.

I want to know why is there only one African American working at the Richmond Hill military clinic? Wondering minds need to know.
