Here are  some of the issues area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

OMI, why is public works trucks always in Walthourville? Why are they out of the city on personal business?

Fort Stewart and Hinesville residents, be aware. Any company that promises to do a credit repair for $200 is bogus. No one can repair or remove negative items from your credit report except you.

How can you win peace over in Iraq and Afghanistan when we still have the Civil War going on here? It’s never ended. You cannot give peace if you don’t have peace.
How can a person who commits crimes against kids, i.e. molestation and rape, get lesser time than those who commit drug offense and are non-violent?

Hinesville and Liberty County have lost a lot of money over the years. Everybody who has a car goes to Savannah to shop, or Brunswick. That’s where all the shops are.

Midway Police run up and down the highway at 80 miles an hour, but they need to go through the business district and keep a check to keep things like that lady being put in a car and raped from happening.

It’s a shame a church near Lake George shuns members that leave because they don’t agree with what’s going on.

Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville is great with their services, but their billing department is a problem. I am being turned over to a collection agency, even though I’ve paid my bill.

Whoever is in charge of landscaping the schools in our county should be applauded. They do a very, very good job.
