Welcome 2015 with friends and family during the New Year's Eve Bash at Thunder Run in Club Stewart from 9 p.m. Dec. 31 to 1 a.m. Jan. 1.

The evening features a rhythm and blues band, party favors, a balloon drop and cash bar. Food will be available for sale and drink specials offered. The cost is $25 per person.

The celebration is open to everyone, even civilians. You must be 18 to enter and 21 to drink.

To help you celebrate responsibly, taxi telephone numbers will be posted and the Tow-2-Go program will be available.

New Year's Eve bowling

Let the good times bowl at the Marne Bowling Center, starting at 3 p.m. Dec. 31.

Enjoy party favors and a complimentary toast at midnight. Watch the Times Square ball drop on TV while you bowl.

Early Bird Special (3-5:30 p.m.) $39.95; Family Fun Special (6-8:30 p.m.) $45.95; and Adult Party Special (9-12:30 p.m.) $54.95. All specials include unlimited bowling for up to six people, shoe rentals, large cheese or pepperoni pizza and bottomless pitcher of soda.

Family New Year's Eve

Corkan Family Recreation Area staff will thank customers with an afternoon of fun. There will be discounts from 3-7 p.m. Dec. 31, before all those New Year's Eve parties. Bowling/shoe rental will be $1.50 each, roller skating and laser tag games $3 each, Treehouse admission $1.50, and Bounce House and Mini Golf $1 each.  

At 7 p.m., Corkan will celebrate the passing of 2014 and welcome 2015.

Rifle range closing

Due to maintenance and environmental work in the B4 training area, the Pass & Permit Rifle Range will be closed on Dec. 27 and Dec. 31. The range will also be closed on Jan. 1, 2, 3, 17, 19 and 24.

Dinner and bowling

Families are invited to take advantage of family discounts on dinner and bowling from noon-8 p.m. Dec. 28 at Stewart Bowling Center. For $30, your family of five gets two games per person, shoe rental and dinner. For more information, call 767-4273.

 

Red Pin bowling

Stewart Bowling Center is bringing back Red Pin Bowling on each month’s first and last Sunday from 6-9 p.m.

On Jan. 4 and Jan. 25, when the red pin comes down in the number one position, notify staff and if you roll a strike you win a free game.

Skating rink work

Corkan Family Fun Center will be closed from Jan. 5 until March 1 for the skating rink floor and barrier walls constructing.

Building 449 also houses the laser tag area and bounce houses. They will not be available.

The work will not affect Cypress Sam’s Treehouse Indoor Playland, Cypress Creek Adventure Golf, and Stewart Bowling Center. All will operate on their normal schedules.

Daytona 500

Daytona 500 tickets are for sale at the Stewart/Hunter Leisure Travel offices. Prices vary depending on seats.

Tickets are available for the Budweiser Duel and Sprint Fanzone Race on Feb. 19; the Daytona 300 Xfinity Race and Sprint Fanzone Race on Feb. 21 and the Daytona 500 and Sprint Fanzone Race on Feb. 22.

Brews & Bites

Brews & Bites, at 6 p.m. Jan. 15 in Thunder Run restaurant, is a chance to give your taste buds a treat sampling of heavy hors d’oeuvres paired with brews produced by Service Brewing Co. of Savannah.

The evening also will give you a chance to chat with a beer. Club Stewart’s master chefs will prepare the hors d’oeuvres.

Six sampling stations are planned. The event can accommodate only 75 persons, so buy your tickets in advance at Club Stewart before Jan. 12.
