Student earns place in pageant

N’Kiya Freeman, an honor -roll student at Lewis Frasier Middle School, will compete in the National American Miss Pageant in California over Thanksgiving week.

The daughter of Marlon and Valerie Freeman earned the right to compete at the Georgia qualifying pageant by being first runner-up. Also at the state pageant, she placed first in talent, second in modeling and second in photogenic.

In her news release, Freeman says she is a skill five competitive gymnast who loves to praise dance.

The national pageant, which will be at Disneyland, says the contestants will compete for more than $500,000 in cash and prizes. For more information, go to www.namiss.com.
