They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, unfortunately it’s also the first meal of the day. This means getting up early is part of the deal!

We may be all for sleeping in late on the weekends, but trust us there are a few stops worth rising early for! Head out a few minutes early before work or drag yourself out of bed on the weekend for a morning meal that will brighten your day. Ditch your PJ’s and head out to try these breakfasts!

 Izola’s Country Café: Every week day from 6-10 a.m. and 7-11:30 a.m. on Saturdays, Izola’s serves breakfast up buffet style. Stop in for some early morning country cooking and load up on eggs, bacon and hash browns. Pick up breakfast in a cup for a meal on the go, or try the chicken and waffles for something different!

Southern Sweets: Not just a stop for birthday and wedding cakes, this sweet shop in downtown Hinesville makes sticky buns to die for! Pick up a treat to spice up your morning coffee on your way to work. Muffins, donuts, and eclairs all make being an early riser worth it!

Island Café: Another delicious stop if you plan to swing through downtown Hinesville on your morning commute! Get a breakfast sandwich and cup of coffee at this “islands” themed restaurant. Who doesn’t want a cup of joe in the morning, matter of fact who doesn’t NEED one? Island Café will be a stop you’ll plan for again and again!

Angie’s Diner: This go to homestyle diner right on Highway 17 in Midway is a favorite stop for breakfast in Liberty County! Come on in starting at 6 a.m. to get your fill of our favorite meal. Whether you want biscuits and gravy or pancakes we promise you won’t leave here with an empty belly.

Margie’s Southern Cooking: Swing in to this food truck favorite just off Shaw Road between 6-9:30 a.m. for a quick breakfast you’ll never forget! This stop is sure to be a new favorite for your morning meal. Try the breakfast platter packed with grits, eggs, and sausage or bacon your stomach will thank you for it! Or if your morning commute requires something a little more convenient get the breakfast bowl for a handy meal.
