Crazy Thursday starts at 5 p.m. at Vann’s Bar and Grill on Gen. Screven Way in Liberty Plaza . Touch of Grey will play and there will be team tricycle races with a $200 prize for the winning team. For more information, go to www.facebook.com/vann’sbarandgrill.
    
Aug. 28

The Hinesville Fire Department will host its annual golf tournament at the Cherokee Rose Country Club to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The tournament will be a four-person team, best-ball scramble. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place, along with individual awards for the longest drive and nearest to the pin shots. In addition, Hinesville Ford will award a 2010 vehicle to anyone who gets a hole-in-one on a specific hole, to be named later.
The entry fee per person is $50. The department is accepting donations for door prizes, and hole sponsorships are available for $100.

The Hinesville Area Arts Council offers children’s art classes every fourth Saturday. Classes for participants ages 3-7 are from 10-11a.m. and classes for ages 8-12 are from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Mill’s house, 500 W. Oglethorpe Highway.
