In addition to the Memorial Day commemoration at Fort Morris on Saturday, May 29, Abby the ArchaeoBus will also be on hand. Archaeologist Rita Elliott, who will also be on hand, says that Abby is a reworked bookmobile that brings hands-on, interactive activities focusing on Georgia archaeology. Abby brings the world of archaeology to the people in a fun and exciting way. So bring a picnic lunch to Fort Morris and learn about the soldiers and weapons of the American Revolution and meet Abby the ArchaeoBus and learn about Georgia Archaeology. Events Saturday run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fort Morris is seven miles east of I-95’s Midway exit. Entry costs $4 for adults, $3.50 for seniors and $2.75 for children 6-18. For more information, contact Arthur Edgar at 884-5999 or email fortmorris@coastalnow.net.
