Ballet performance in Brunswick

Golden Isles Arts and Humanities Association will present  one of the most distinguished dance companies in the Southeast at the Ritz Theatre as part of GIAHA’s 2007-2008 Performing Arts Series on Jan. 11.
Dance Alive National Ballet will appear at Downtown Brunswick’s historic theatre and arts center at 8 p.m.
The public is invited.
Based in Gainesville, Fla., Dance Alive National Ballet includes award-winning dancers from throughout the world who have been acclaimed for their expressive dramatic elegance and unusual flair for the comedic. The group will showcase at the Ritz its wide-ranging repertoire that includes traditional classical works, neo-classical Ballanchine pieces, cutting-edge contemporary choreography and company-created original works.
Tickets for Dance Alive National Ballet are $18 for adults and $15 for students (with ID) and seniors (65+). They may be purchased at the Ritz Theatre box office, 1530 Newcastle St., Downtown Brunswick, either over the phone with credit card or in person, Tuesdays through Fridays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased on line with the secure PayPal service at www.goldenislesarts.org
