Benefit concert/fundraiser set for Aug. 29

Southern Thunder Mudtrack in Cobbtown will have a benefit concert and all-day awareness fundraiser on Saturday, Aug. 29, for Derek and Dalton Palmer, who lost their mother, Felisha Powell Palmer, to domestic violence on May 4.
Country artist Rhett Akins will headline the show and other guest performers include Cody Walden, Dead Man’s Hand and South Paw. The event also will include a car show, bike show, games, vendors, arts and crafts, food and a mud bog truck display.
There will be a silent auction and commemorative T-shirts will be on sale.
The gates will open at noon and ticket are $15 each. Children 5 and under are free. Tickets can be ordered online at www.etix.com or by phone at (912) 682-9007. Guests of all ages are welcome.
