County pageant seeking contestants

Contestants for the 2008 Miss Liberty County and Liberty County Junior Miss Pageant are being sought.
The scholarship pageant is sponsored by the Hinesville/Fort Stewart Shrine Club.  Young ladies ages 18-24 will be competing for the title of Miss Liberty County and young ladies ages 13-17 will be compete for Liberty County Junior Miss.
The pageant will be at Brewton-Parker College in Flemington on March 29 at 6 p.m.  It is open to girls who live, work or go to school in Liberty County.  Competition will include interview, casual wear, evening gown and an on-stage question for each contestant.  In addition to the queens, awards will be presented for first and second runnerup in each age group.
Returning to crown the new queens this year are the reigning Miss Liberty County Katrina Sage and Liberty County Junior Miss Amy Baker.
Informational meetings will be held at the Hinesville/Fort Stewart Shrine Building on Highway 196 on Feb. 3 and 17 at 3 p.m.  Entries are available at Hawkins Electric and Ritaís Bridal and Formal Shop.
