SAVANNAH — Some of the best dancers in the country will compete for top honors during the second annual Savannah Dance Classic on Jan. 6-8 at the Hyatt Regency Ballroom.

In styles ranging from American smooth to international Latin, this competition has something for everyone to enjoy. Tickets are still available and prices range from $15 per event to $95 for a weekend pass. Go to www.savannahdc.com for more information.

"Savannah has so much to offer for our competitors," event co-founder and organizer Mark Brock said. "Not only are there a number of studios in the area that want to compete, but nationally, who doesn’t want to be a part of Savannah’s historic district, fine dining, and numerous attractions?"

More than 70 dancers already are registered and the competition promises to be fierce, with everything from scholarships to medals for the winners.

"As members of the World Pro-Am DancerSport Series, we know how important it is for the dancers to have various opportunities to showcase their talents. It’s equally as important to be able to give back to the rising stars through educational scholarships," Brock said.

The events are open to the public, but anyone who wants to compete needs to register immediately at www.savannahdc.com.

"Savannah provided the perfect backdrop city for us last year and we know it will only get better from here," Brock said.
